Kids’ websites I like

Here are some websites where I find great information for kids…

  • KidsHealth
I like this site because it has lots of no-nonsense information about health and mental health. If you have questions you are too embarrassed to ask adults, you should start here. Of course, if you are really concerned about something, you should confide in an adult who can help you. But sometimes you just want answers and this site can help.
  • Common Sense Media
Do you hear about books, movies, or TV shows that others say you should see? Want to know whether they’ll work for you? Common Sense Media has reviews by adults and kids that will give you the straight talk about the media you use. Also, I love their Digital Citizenship curriculum—ask an adult to help you learn about how to be a good online citizen if you are wondering about this issue.
  • TED-Ed
TED is a lecture series for adults, and some of those lectures are interesting for kids, too. But TED-Ed is created just for kids. I love their videos! They are on all sorts of topics. Check them out.
  • Khan Academy
What do you want to learn about? What confused you when you learned it the first time? What do you want to explore? Khan Academy is a great free online resource for learning. Math, science, history, music, and more!
